Chip and Dale go out for a night on the town to see their mutual love interest, the night club singer, Clarice. Both chipmunks believe they are the receiptiant of an exclusive invitation, so jealousy abounds when they discover each other waiting outside Clarice's dressing room door.

Trivia

Clarice's main vocal performance is with the song, "My Destiny," which was recorded by Billy Eckstine circa 1947.

The song, "Little Girl," that the three chipmunks sing together at the end of the short was originally recorded by Whispering Jack Smith in 1931.
